Lydia, This is a lovely idea, a wonderful treasure. My next thought is how about a little disc above the flame to burn some aromatherapy oils?

Thank you Astrid! It's actually used just for that purpose. I fill the little vessel with a mixture of paraffin and essential oils to create a lovely smelling lamp oil. Then I drop the wick insert down into it. I have these little things oil candles all over the place in my house now. I LOVE them, but I bet I'll NEVER make another one of those wire wrapped stands again. Sheesh!!! My fingers are still healing from the experience. lol
