Lady #8 a break through!

(SheilaMorley)
I call this a break through because SHE came out really really to my liking. The colors do not bleed into eachother. looks like paint, but nope! ALL WELDED glass.
Very exciting to a figure sculptor!
:)

Woman

(LavenderCreekGlass)
I've been wanting to do a series of more abstract female figures in celebration of the beauty and diversity of Woman. No, I'm not a feminist, I just find the female form really beautiful :)
Masks * Featured Page *

Masks

(LavenderCreekGlass)
I just love masks, they are simply facinating. Mystical, magical and extremely important within the cultures where they are still used. I have several ideas for mask designs and this is where I will post them.

Focals - Volume Two

(LavenderCreekGlass)
My original focals gallery is getting a bit full so I've opened a new one for my latest work. My style is also continually changing and evolving and doesn't seem to fit with the earlier pieces.

Coral Dreams

(MoniqueMichele)
I love these!!! I have pulled some color canes and used raku and reduction colors. The effect on most of these is one of a kind since I didn't follow a recipee, I just mix what comes to me at the moment. I like the shapes, so far I try to stay away from mold shapes or standard shapes to give my beads a little character and to allow for designers to have acces to unique shapes. Some people think its a mistake or that I can't make a perfect bead, but if you look at my other work, you'll see that I can place dots perfectly and I can make a perfect shape...this irregularity is what I want at this moment. And believe me...I"M LOVING IT !!!!

Biorchanic

(Artificer)
I've long been a fan of H.R. Giger and other artists in the biomechanical style. This series of focals is my attempt to capture the same feeling in glass.
Goddess Collection * Featured Page *

Goddess Collection

(LavenderCreekGlass)
I've got a goddess gallery on the Glass artists site, but I never added one here. You can find my earlier goddess beads in my Focals gallery and my Woman gallery. Since my style is also changing and I have so many now, I thought they needed their own gallery :)

Prairie Sunset Organics - a color study

(GeneseeGlassworks)
This was the perfect study to let the glass be what it is.
Every single bead was made the exact same way and using extreme heat, each one evolved into its own unique creation.
I really loved how these colors work together and I'm not sure I'm done with messing around with the combo just yet!

Masks - Another Approach * Featured Page *

Masks - Another Approach

(LavenderCreekGlass)
These are also masks but my focus is a bit different. I am going for a more realistic feel to the facial detail. Almost like a 3D portrait. They are not as flamboyantly detailed as my other mask style, the facial expressions and fine detail are meant to do most of the work in these pieces.

Lampwork Beads

(MaryCLockwood)
I'm a full time lampworker focusing mainly on florals and small creatures such as frogs and fish.

These gallery pages represent some of my own favorite pieces from the last few years.

Hope you enjoy!

(Beadnik)
An experiment: I grinded an etched and slightly nugget-shaped bead. The facets are NOT completely round but do have a little twist ... to make your eyes think.

Hawaiian sunset...

(Anastasia)
..Itīs pretty chilly and unpleasant outside...therefore there are for sure places Iīd rather be;-)... Hawaii...ocean and volcanoes, and hot lava flowing into the water...of course some flowers...well, one can dream...
Florida... * Featured Page *

Florida...

(Anastasia)
...I wasnīt thinking of the state "Florida" while making this bead, but of the expression of its name: "flowering, blooming"... It snowed again this morning...therefore Iīm making flower beads to create some balance...
Tree House - a special Tree of Life Totem * Featured Page *

Tree House - a special Tree of Life Totem

(NaosGlass)
Talk about a surprise! I was amazed when I saw the little "window frame" in the middle of the trunk of this bead... Do Fairies live here? Wee folk perhaps? I think this Tree is speaking of the need to always remain playful and mysterious, to imagine, to dream, to wish...

This is a truly magical, one of a kind piece that I can never recreate so bid now on eBay if you want it! :)

Snowy sunset... * Featured Page *

Snowy sunset...

(Anastasia)
...Canīt believe I made a somewhat wintery bead...but there was that rod of Vetrofond Belgian lace on my table, which is such a wonderful, creamy white...I couldnīt resist...
