Turtles
(

)
I don't know why it took me so long to really get into making turtles. Here I have jeweled turtles and totem turtles...very enjoyable to make and it is always nice to find a new use for a lentil!

New Ocean Moons-2008
(
AnnaDuhame
)
I love to make these ocean moon beads with the pure silver stars and silvered ivory beaches. I've been experimenting with new colors and like the latest results.

Eternity Heart Focal Bead
(
AshtonJewels
)
Yesterday I was in the mood to do some encased florals. Funny, this one started out as a chunky lentil and since I over loaded the press with too much glass, I made it into a chunky heart.

Ravens and Crows
(
AnnaDuhame
)
They may not be the most musical of birds nor the most colorful but they have a certain mystique about them. I raised a baby crow that had fallen out of a nest. He was the most intelligent bird and visited me occasionally after I had released him.

Briar Rose
(
Ellyloo
)
I've been having fun making really sweet flowers... and all the time thinking about Sleeping Beauty's castle, as she lay sleeping. All of these roses surrounding the brick walls and the filling the air and creeping over the ground must have made for a beautiful and riotous display, visible for miles-especially on a sunny day.

Lucky Peach
(
Angelinabeadalina
)
Lucky Peach takes its inspiration from Chinese symbols of longevity. Shou Lao, the Chinese god who serves as president of the heavenly administration, determines each person's lifespan. In honor of his hold on longevity, he is worshipped as part of birthday celebrations. You'll see him depicted as smiling and holding a peach, accompanied by a long-lived crane or tortoise. The Chinese symbols for longevity include the Shou, as well as a few more. When the Shou symbol is carved onto a peach, it represents a long marriage. I chose to combine the peach with one of those other longevity symbols to make my Lucky Peach. . . I think any way you look at it, longevity and a sweet peach have to be lucky :)

Coolooloosh!
(
MeitalPlotnik
)
2 sets and a focal, named after a music band from Jerusalem!
Check them out at coolooloosh.com !
From their website- "Suitably named “Coolooloosh”, a Jerusalemite word for celebration and joy, this is precisely what the band exhumes with each and every exciting performance"
The beads have bases in amber, decorated with red enamel, orange and transparent green, silver glass, and loads of raised decoration!

Octopi
(
AnnaDuhame
)
I kind of fell upon these in an attempt to make a very imaginative bead with the flavor of the sea but without the realism. I made swirling scrolling designs and then decided to add dots, and what did I see, but the tentacles of an octopus? So much for abstract, but I still like them just as much!

Spectral Torpedo
(
EvolvingCreations
)
A coil-potted and blown bi-cone with a cobalt blue base. A nice spectrum of color, created with clear glass, amber-purple and selective heating/striking used to bring out different colors along the length of the bead..

Blessings of Mother Nature
(
Angelinabeadalina
)
Already the blessings of spring begin.
Sun rises a bit higher in the midday sky.
Buds begin to form at the tips of maple branches.
Tiny miracles, each one.
Remind me that Mother Nature has not left us alone.
Blessin... being scattered across my backyard.

Flowering Focals
(
MysticGardenBeads
)
Flowers and glass are my passion, and what better way to connect the two than to try to create "glass-gardens"? :-)
I hope you enjoy them as much as I have loved creating them!

Midnight Romance
(
MysticGardenBeads
)
My cat seems to me the biggest romantic EVER....well, maybe he just like the thrill of the chase, hahaha....the beads on this page were inspired by "his royal naughtyness". ;-)

Shallow Waters
(
MeitalPlotnik
)
A set and two focals, made with lots of carnelian (my new favorite glass!), transparent purple, various frits, enamels and copper mesh inclusions between the layers... I selectively etched the copper green tentacles- what a challenge that was! but I think it was worth it :-)
Thanks for looking!

Tiny Toad Beads
(
TerriMayStudios
)
Toads are very interesting symbols in most cultures. Abundance, transformation, and longevity are some of their most appealing attributes.
Hi... they were believed to carry a stone in their head which was purported to be a universal medicine.
