Roman Bath House Buttons, Set 9

I have only made three sets of buttons in this style so far because they are much more difficult than the rounds. Even though the design is always similar, the final outcome of the sets always leave me delightfully suprised when I take them out of the kiln. Gotta love that Terra glass!!

Tropical Heat

I have been living on a very small island in Thailand for 3 months. Escaped the German winter time. It took some time to set-up my workshop there (oxygene had to come by nightboat from mainland, ordered a new torch from USA ...).
Needed some days to get a feeling for the flame again since I could not work at the torch for almost one year:"baby-break" ;-)

In the Northern Pacific, between Seattle and Victoria are the forested San Juan Islands full of beauty and mystery, just like this elegant bracelet with olive and raku lampwork by Dawn Scannell. I've combined it with wonderful artisan made enamel-on-copper beads and clasp that will make your heart skip a beat.

2007 Lady Death Custom Set

I had a request to make some beads based on a Lady Death comic book cover. I went abstract and used the texture of Lady Death's hair and the color scheme, minus gold and blue, to come up with this set.
