Jumping on the Spring Bandwagon

"March Pinks", that's what Granddaddy called daffodils. I still have no idea where that name came from, except that the first daffodils of the year are so much more than just a splash of yellow. They're an amazing herald of spring, the same as that first robin you see bobbing around the yard. So, with snow on the ground and spring on my mind, I tried a couple of daffodils. Plenty of other people have done them, but I had to try to figure them out myself. Hope my beginning attempt brings a little sunlight indoors for you!

Shhhhhh, don't tell Grandma or Grandma Vicky, but these flowers are what I'm using to make their Easter presents. Gotta get them done before long, too, so quickie looks while I'm here and longer talks when I get home Monday :)

This is a small set that I made on Friday, I made a rose cane that didn't turn out perfectly for sure but I like the sort of watercolor effect from the cane. I really like the colors, I have been sitting one a pound of Opal Yellow and finally made something with it.
