"The Face Project"

(Wildwomancreations)
My fascination with the color orange, faces, wire, felt, art and photography continues into 2006. "King Orange" settles in to a very nice wearable art necklace and is quite at home.

When glass and art collide you have Wildwomancreations signature "Soul Beads"

My soul beads are created by allowing myself to soar and create without thought. ....my soul flies and I follow....and the results are always interesting, sometimes liked, always make an impression and give me great joy.

Donna Millard Beads

Donna Millard Beads

(Fyrebeadz)
I don't make a lot of focals but yesterday I had the urge. I am trying to perfect the foliage and it's coming along nicely, now I need to work on the flowers a little more. I do like this one though...sort of orchid like. And a matching strand of button shaped beads. August, 2006

"Moon Lit Flower Garden" series beads

(MandyWilliams)
One of my favorite series. These beads are the most time consuming of any I make. They are inspired by my summer hikes along the coast here in Maine.
Japanese New Year Beads 3

Japanese New Year Beads 3

(AyakoHattori)
Here is another my New Year bead. It is one of very typical flower arrangement for New Year. I know lily is not traditional Japanese flower, but it is very popular now. We need some bright and sweet flower on dim winter day. We arrange lily with some Japanese traditional new year items. I arranged pink and white lilies with sarcandra glabra.
Floral Bead Sets~Lots of them!

Floral Bead Sets~Lots of them!

(Fyrebeadz)
I make lots of florals, and I love doing them. Maybe it's because I live in Alaksa and we have so little time for real flowers? Lots of photo's in this gallery and I'll keep adding them as I go along! Enjoy!
My first Moretti 3D flowers

My first Moretti 3D flowers

(AyakoHattori)
Here are my first Moretti 3D flowers. I usually use Satake lead glass, but it is too soft and breakable for 3D beads. So I tried Moretti. It is wonderful to try something new to me.

Tree Branches

Tree Branches

(AnnaDuhame)
I saw a painting by Chris Cook (here is the link if you want to see it : http://www.chrisc... ), and it inspired me to look at trees in a new way.
Complex Encased Floral Focal Beads

Complex Encased Floral Focal Beads

(MaryCLockwood)
From day 1 of my torching life my focus was always on how much depth I could impart into my beads. No other style of beads allows me to explore that more than encased florals and seascapes. This is a sampling of my florals.
African Iris

African Iris

(AyakoHattori)
In last New Year holiday, I visited Australia. I found the flower on the road near Melbourne. I don’t know the name exactly, but I think it is African Iris. It is not native Australian, but I made the bead because it is beautiful.

Lily Bead

Lily Bead

(AyakoHattori)
In Japan we usually make bead jewelry with leather code. So our tonbodama usually has a hole from side to side. But in Western world you make jewelry of bead with hole from top to bottom. I think it must be good for pendant. Then I try one.
And my American friend suggested that white flower on purple must be beautiful. How do you think of it?

Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day

(GeltDesigns)
It's almost Valentines Day! Give her roses.. but not just any roses. Give her a hand crafted pate de verre rose and she will surly be enchanted. Enjoy!

Mixed tuberose lei

Mixed tuberose lei

(BarbaraA.Caraway)
I removed half of the flowers to get a better photograph, but it's easy to imagine this at the regular "Hawaiian lei" length. Right now it fits my dog, Isabel.

Not for sale. These flowers are actually chandelier components. Temporarily made into a lei for a party.
