Asian Inspired Beads

Asian Inspired Beads

I've been experimenting with Asian themed beads this week. Gelly, Nikki (NLC), and I have been working on different themes each week. This week is our Asian week. I loved creating these pieces!

Evoking a memory of times past when ladies strolled through their garden, this design is like a wrist corsage to take you back to a genteel time before the world was rushing by at warp speed.

I don't keep real flowers in my house, because I have three cats and they eat any plants that I bring home. They can't eat the beads, though sometimes they try.

These beads are a little harder than most to photograph. The 3-d effect is hard to get in photos, but they are a blast to make. I will be posting more pictures soon!

"The Face Project"

(Wildwomancreations)
My fascination with the color orange, faces, wire, felt, art and photography continues into 2006. "King Orange" settles in to a very nice wearable art necklace and is quite at home.

When glass and art collide you have Wildwomancreations signature "Soul Beads"

My soul beads are created by allowing myself to soar and create without thought. ....my soul flies and I follow....and the results are always interesting, sometimes liked, always make an impression and give me great joy.

seed pods are so beautiful, both as natural objects and little packets of life. some of these beads have leaves that were made off mandrel and applied at the end.

I don't make a lot of focals but yesterday I had the urge. I am trying to perfect the foliage and it's coming along nicely, now I need to work on the flowers a little more. I do like this one though...sort of orchid like. And a matching strand of button shaped beads. August, 2006
