Candy Apple Yellow Orchids

Candy Apple Yellow Orchids

(GlassJewels)
The colors in these orchids remind me of candied apples and butterscotch.
The bead core is a translucent alabaster white with various frits and enamels and a strand of silver beading.

Amethyst Nights

Amethyst Nights

(GlassJewels)
Yes! I know, I have gone Orchid nuts lately! I'll get it out of my system eventually, but until then here is another Orchid Bead.
The base is made with clear and dark amethyst. I used several different frits and enamels to create the night sky. And last but not least, I just had to put another orchid on it. This one is covered in rich pink and yellow blooms.
It is also up for auction right now on eBay.

Encased Floral Focals by HOG - Late Fall 07

(HeartsOfGlass)
My latest round of floral obsession. I'm trying new colour combos (though I think I'll always love the red flowers!) and new geometry. Three layers of encasing is becoming more common. Check it out!
A flower in the making...

A flower in the making...

(Mr.Smiley)
Ok, so this is kind of a spin off of my masquerade work. I love applying techniques I've figured out to different ideas. I often feed off of one piece into something totally different. I guess living with ADD isn't all bad. At least it's not boring! LOL
Misty Waters

Misty Waters

(GlassJewels)
Blue and violet orchids with bright yellow throats are blooming on the edge of a misty tropical lagoon. Behind the orchids is an ethereal scene of misty blue water and black vines. A colorful stream of coral shoots through like a streak of sunshine.
It is currently for sale on eBay at www.glassjewelsby...

Nope! It's not out of my system yet. I just love Orchids too much. I have just received a shipment of Satake Glass and things will get very differnt soon.
In the meantime, you can purchase this bead and others on eBay at:

Midnight Orchids

Midnight Orchids

(GlassJewels)
....bright pink and yellow orchids are blooming in the mossy forest floor....
Someday I may actually go to the amazon, of then I will find out none of the real orchids look like mine!

Woodland Florals

Woodland Florals

(AnnaDuhame)
These are my very favorite florals to make....trilliums with any variety of other woodland flowers. I love the lichen like look of copper foil for the surface of these....like a moss covered woodland floor.
Hand made polymerclay beads

Hand made polymerclay beads

(Mariah)
For these polymer clay beads I used kato clay and hand mixed the colors. The Fairy wings are made using a butterfly wing cane. The Pixie face surrounded by hand shaped roses. I have really been enjoying trying new things with the clay and just love its ease of use especially for tiny details.
In the Garden Primeval

In the Garden Primeval

This necklace is a new favorite. I'm so happy with the way the gemstones and lampwork compliment and enhance one another. I wish I could have done a better job photographing this piece--it is gorgeous on. The lampwork by Manuela Wutschke has a delicate whispy quality with lots of depth and exquisite colors. The champaign citrine and rose quartz are a perfect foundation and gold filled chain with 23k vermeil findings complete the rich warm look I was going for.
My English Garden

My English Garden

(RickieVogesDesign)
Evoking a memory of times past when ladies strolled through their garden, this design is like a wrist corsage to take you back to a genteel time before the world was rushing by at warp speed.
Sunflowers

Sunflowers

(RickieVogesDesign)
Have you ever strolled through a field of sunflowers in the summertime? It's a beautiful sight and these lampwork beads by Kerry Caron capture the essence of just such a stroll. She surely was inspired by the art of Van Gogh--she captured the colors and style beautifully in this trio of lampwork. Think Garden with Flowers meets Vase With Sunflowers and you'll get the idea. These have been lovingly wirewrapped with sterling silver and Bali beads, carnelian and turquoise charms and finished off with a beautiful abstract sculptured flower by Manuela Wutschke. A miniature gallery for the wrist--three paintings and a sculpture.

...honestly, sometimes I believe I can turn ANYTHING *pink-ish*! The roses in this set were made with EDP and dark blue...so what do I get? Not the nice purple I was going for, that's for sure, LOL. ;-)

Thanks so much for looking!
Enjoy! ... :-)

...at least these three sunflowers will survive the summer-heat! :-) Each under its own protective bubble.

Thanks so much for looking!

Flower Power

Flower Power

(GeltDesigns)
Shades of the 1970s! Isn't it funny how color and fashion always comes back? You can almost see the smiley face lurking behind this flower! Or are you blinded by the sunshine? No matter, here's another great bead to wear with your hip huggers and bell bottoms. (Don't worry what fashion calls them today, you know what they really are!)
