Learning the Lentil Press

Joe gave me a lentil press for my birthday, along with Bonnaroo weekend, which is this weekend, I'd rather be in TN doing the Roo! ok ok back to the press, these are just some I was learning on, they are by no means perfect but I'm getting the hang of smashing perfect beads, ohhhh no! Just the thought of that makes me cringe, after all it took me a long time to figure out how to keep them round. :)

Sweet Romance-I think this epitomizes the romantic side of lampwork beads in a piece of jewelry. I made this to put on display at one of my local bead shops where I sell my beads and jewlery. I love this, but I am not sure I would wear it, I am more of an organic girl myself.

I learned how to metalsmith last March from a 75 year old gentleman. I never even got to finish out the first project because the power went out. I managed to finish it on my own. Here is a good example of what I love to do with sterling and glass!
