One for me....

One for me....

(RickieVogesDesign)
Here's a couple of necklaces I've kept for myself and wear all the time. Interestingly enough both feature the same lampwork artists beads, although they are very different in style and color. You'll immediately know you when you see me, because I'll surely be wearing one or the other necklace around my neck! :-)
Bent Bead Bracelets

Bent Bead Bracelets

(HeartFire)
OK, I figured out how to bend the beads thanks to Rocio and his tools so now I'm on a bit of a roll. Although these beads were really just test beads I decided to make them into simple bracelets. These are extremely simple bracelets that I would consider a 'low-ticket' item for an upcoming show. So I will place my bent bead bracelets and watches here soon!

Thank you for looking, Lois of Heart Fire, March 07

Seeing Double

Seeing Double

This pair of bracelets came from a wonderful set of lampwork by Robyn Knapp. It was a large set of singles with a common thread of color and design--but very eclectic and totally capturing my fancy. I can see these pieces worn seperately ,but together they are stunning and make a dramatic statement--your own little traveling art gallery!
Glass Menagerie

(TheBaubleBoutique...)
Pink and black floral encased lampwork by Jena Fulcher. Loaded with glass German vintage flowers, Czech beads and daggers, mother of pearl, freshwater pearls, Swarovski crystals, Thai and Bali sterling silver, and finished off with a sterling silver toggle.

Lovely etched round beads by Erica Olson, white heart over gray creating a beautiful patina green appearance with silvered accents. Designed around sterling silver wire, brown freshwater pearls, smokey quartz, Bali and Thai sterling silver.

(TheBaubleBoutique...)
Raspberry pink Biagi-type beads by Dawn White of Duda Designs that slide on a sterling silver chain with large white freshwater pearls, Czech firepolished beads, and finished off with some dangles on a heart chain of pearls and glass beads, a Czech glass leaf and of course a private sterling mail box for love letters.
The Islands

The Islands

(TheBaubleBoutique...)
Only missing a paper umbrella for this tropical bracelet with lampwork from the Cabana Boy series of Jena Fulcher. Includes star lampwork, lentil, and encased florals in cool tropical colors. Paired with Czech glass beads, daggers, and flowers; mother of pearl, freshwater pearls and a sterling silver toggle.
Majestic Orbs

The variety of colors using Double Helix Kronos glass continue to mesmerize me when choosing lampwork to design with. One of my favorite artists working with Kronos is Tiffany McCoy. For this bracelet, I've used some of her perfectly round kronos beads--each with a different design and color intensity and variety. Truly a wearable work of art!
I'm a California Girl....

I'm a California Girl....

(RickieVogesDesign)
Okay, I'm a California girl, so you'll have to forgive me for my second wave of Beachy bracelets...and there's more to come guaranteed! I just got a bucket full of lampwork seahells in all the colors of the rainbow and I'm going crazy playing with them...So please indulge my craving for a stroll on the beach...again!
Ariel's Garden

Ariel's Garden

Still at the beach, but less sophisticated than Pismo Bay because of the colors I played with for this design--bright pastels to put a smile on your face!
March 2007

March 2007

(RickieVogesDesign)
Most of March has been taken up with my ocean themed designs, but I have a few others to share that just celebrate the beginnings of springtime. Fresh bright colors with a dash of whimsey to welcome sunshine and flowers!
Bold and Beautiful--Bollywood Bangle Bracelet

Bold and Beautiful--Bollywood Bangle Bracelet

These fabulously detailed lampwork beads by Donna Felkner are combined with detailed sterling Turkish beads, a stylish clasp and my own tassle design for a bold and dramatic design.

Take one curved/bent lampwork bead by lampwork artist Melissa Rediger, two parts viking weave, some faceted jade, Thai silver, Bali sterling and vermeil and what have you got---another bangle with a funky style. I love the way this turned out. It's my first time to use one of the new bent beads from the Rocio press and mandrel and I loved working with it! A great bead shape to design with..I think I need more!!!
Caribbean Cool

Caribbean Cool

(RickieVogesDesign)
The blues and greens of the Caribbean are emulated in all the charms and baubles of still another seaside charm bracelet from me. Each color combination I try leads me to yet another as I pine for long strolls on the beach and remember the sights and sounds and scents of the seashore.
