~A Sitka Rose~ 3-strand neckpiece

~A Sitka Rose~ 3-strand neckpiece

(Fyrebeadz)
Of everything I've ever made this is my favorite ever. I used Black Onyx, Rainbow Tourmaline, Peridot, Smoky Quartz and whatever the pink stone is. How embarrassing, I've forgotten. I made the XL lentil beads using frit, silver and glass canes I made. It is gorgeous and I kept this for myself! Just could not part with it! December 2006
Brazilian Dance

Brazilian Dance

(SuzanneOfSJSjewel...)
Once again I designed this necklace around the wonderful lampwork bead focal by Lisa New Designs. Once finished the colors and components reminded me of the colors in a Beautiful Brazilian Dancer's costume.

Captive

Captive

(SuzanneOfSJSjewel...)
Another design inspired by the wonderful focal bead created of polymer clay. Hand made & hand painted bead by artist: Karen Lorraine.
I used 14K Gold filled beads, chain, wire & beautiful toggle clasp. Chain is a flat cable chain in 2 sizes. I threw in a few seemless swirled strling silver oxidized beads too!
All handwire wrapped.
Accompa... by Swarovski crystals in many colors & special effects

Sedona

Sedona

(SuzanneOfSJSjewel...)
Sedona was created around the focal lampwork bead by Lisa New Designs. It reminded me of the wonderful colors in this magical place in Northern Arizona, with Blue skies and red-orange rock.

Tuvalu

Tuvalu

(OriginalSinDesigns)
Tuvalu is magnificent. Named after a tiny island somewhere in one of the many atolls of Micronesia. Tuvalu has a population of about 7000, and the highest point of the island is only 10 ft above sea-level. The island is destined to disappear submerged by the sea in the very near future. Tuvalu financed its entry into the United Nations, indispensable to guarantee the evacuation and reconstruction on another island, through the sale in 1998 of the internet domain assigned to the country (its a sovereign country - the third smallest nation after the Vatican City and San Marino, both located on Italian territory). You will no doubt have seen websites with the .tv domain. This is my tribute to a tiny piece of this earth destined to disappear forever.

Tuvalu is made with Seashells, Seeds from the Amazon Jungle, Bali Sterling Silver, Rose Quartz, Swarovski Crystals, Czech Firepolish Crystals, Natural Freshwater Pearls (dyed), Czech and German glass Seed Beads, German Bugle Beads.

Black and Bling

Black and Bling

(OriginalSinDesigns)
Black and Bling is a choker and earring set that amazes for its versatility.
An adventure into styles a bit different from what you'd normally expect from me, but I like it! And you?

Bling galore, this choker sparkles thanks to the over 130 Swarovski crystals used to make it. The black rings are lampwork glass.

Materials used for the choker are German seed beads, lampwork glass rings, Swarovski crystals, and suede.

Materials used for the earrings are German seed beads, lampwork glass rings, Swarovski crystals, suede, and sterling silver.

Drama Queen

Drama Queen

(OriginalSinDesigns)
Luscious, extreme, sophisticated, and unbearably beautiful - this necklace is a celebration of the new femininity, delicate and powerful at the same time. Shades of pink, grey, wine, mauve and ivory highlight three incredibly unique lace agates in a freeform interpretation of bead embroidery around the cabochons. The effect is nothing less than spectacular!

The materials used in the creation of Drama Queen are Lace Agates, Swarovski Crystals, Swarovski Pearls, Natural Freshwater Pearls (dyed), Rose Quartz, German seed beads, German bugle beads, German seed cubes

Tango

Tango

(OriginalSinDesigns)
Color, light and texture chase each other across this choker in an intricate, vibrant and refined choreography reminiscent of that most exquisitely sensual and sublimely tempting of all dances, the Tango. A whisper, a caress, a promise fulfilled and unfulfilled.

This choker wraps almost completely around the neck, tying at the back with a taupe velvet ribbon. The body of the choker is 27cm (10.63") long, ribbon excluded, and 2cm (0.79") wide.

The choker was made using Red Onyx, Blue Onyx, German and Czech glass seed beads, 24K goldplated Japanese seed beads, bugle beads, and embellished with Swarovski crystals.

Citrus Salad

Citrus Salad

(BentWarpedAndTwisted)
This piece is composed of sterling silver wire, sterling silver beads, colored cultured freshwater pearls, red agate, green and green speckled glass beads, green foil-lined Delica beads, clear quartz crystal beads, Aventurine beads, Rhodonite beads, Garnet beads, and floral Bali spacer beads. All the links were handcrafted, as was the clasp and the 16 gauge jump rings. It does have matching earrings but I seem to have forgotten to take a picture of them, I'll add it when I take pics of my next batch of items!

I used these colors to evoke thoughts of citrus fruits and other tropical fruits including oranges, kumquats, pineapple, kiwi, persimmons, pomegranate (hey, the trees grow EVERYWHERE in Florida!), mangoes, papayas, Key limes, lemons, grapefruit, passion fruit and all the other wonderful fresh fruits we had when we visited our friends' grove when I was a child. Wonderful memories!

This piece measures 17" in length and is available in my Ruby Lane shop.

Precious metal lampwork bead necklaces

Precious metal lampwork bead necklaces

(BentWarpedAndTwisted)
Hate to use this page as a forum, but since SOMEONE took advantage of the fact that I removed ALL the jewelry I made with her DEFECTIVE beads to post beads she made called "Dragon Eggs" - which just happens to be the name of my jewelry series, which just happens to focus around the baby dragons my 16 year old daughter makes out of PMC/art clay silver, I guess I have to say something.

I don't like unoriginal people. I like antagonistic people even less. The necklace used as the snappie for this gallery no longer exists - I had to dismantle it because the SILVER was popping out of the BEADS. Like it did out of every other silvered bead I GOT from said seller. Caveat Emptor.

Seaside Sunset

Seaside Sunset

(BentWarpedAndTwisted)
This piece is crafted with beads from 3 Muses Glass from sterling silver wire, sterling beads, SwarovskiŽ crystal beads and Miracle beads. The colors in the beads just blew me away, reminding me again of my first trip to the Sandestin Beach Resort in Destin, FL. The first night there was just amazing in so many ways, right down to a complete lunar eclipse! The sunset on the water blazed the most incredible colors and these beads just swept my mind back to that night. Best vacation ever. Come to think of it, it's the ONLY real vacation I've ever taken!
A Lot of HOT AIR - redux

A Lot of HOT AIR - redux

(BentWarpedAndTwisted)
I decided to delete my previous page for this piece since it's now done and I really wanted to give props to Ashton Jewels for the Terraflora bead set and focal that I used to make this necklace.

The shape of the focal bead gave me the idea for the hot air balloon, I just continued the theme on up the links. I used 18K yellow gold wire, yellow and white gold beads, yellow jade, green agate, peach agate, fancy color jasper, rhodonite, fluorite and garnets as well as 20K textured beads.

Thanks again, Lydia!

Pink Lotus

Pink Lotus

(BentWarpedAndTwisted)
The lampwork beads in this piece are by Polychrome Beads, I will shamelessly say that I am a HUGE fan of Aimee's Lotus beads and I had this set for a LONG time before it finally decided what it wanted to be.
Emiko's Kyoto Spring

Emiko's Kyoto Spring

(BentWarpedAndTwisted)
I made this necklace, with lampwork beads by GlassValley, especially to go with my wonderful, beautiful Emiko focal pendant by Tracy Jerrell Akhtar. I already had the beads and realized when I received Emiko that they were a spectacular match for her!

I used .999 fine silver with fine Thai silver Karen Hill Tribe beads including fine silver vermeil beads, blue agate, green agate, fancy jasper, rhodonite and purple and green fluorite. I used an S hook to attach the pendant so I could move it to a standard chain or attach a different pendant or wear the necklace alone.

I'm always especially excited about pieces that work this well together, I'm just delighted with the way everything works together!
