Shallow Waters

A set and two focals, made with lots of carnelian (my new favorite glass!), transparent purple, various frits, enamels and copper mesh inclusions between the layers... I selectively etched the copper green tentacles- what a challenge that was! but I think it was worth it :-)

Stringer Designs

These beads are made with the careful application of thin rods of glass. Each color is melted and then pulled into a thin rod called a stringer. The stringer is then applied to the bead with careful heating to ensure even and lasting application.

Roman Bath House Buttons, Set 9

I have only made three sets of buttons in this style so far because they are much more difficult than the rounds. Even though the design is always similar, the final outcome of the sets always leave me delightfully suprised when I take them out of the kiln. Gotta love that Terra glass!!

ABOUT THE BEADS- they are made with different bases (ivory, periwinkle, and red coral), and silver glass swirls. The periwinkle and red sets were also sprinkled with blue and green enamles (respectively).
