Madonna & Child Pendant with "The Reason" Charm

(Angelinabeadalina)
Madonna and Child, could she be an ongoing obsession of sorts for me? I just love sculpting her, and it's funny how I don't feel the need to give her a detailed face. I just start torching, melting glass in lines and lines, and before ya know it, there's a graceful mother gently cradling her child. . .guess it's yet another way of meditating at the temple of the torch, huh? This set is ending on eBay 11/14/07, look for me under the ID AngelinaBeadalina :)

Autumn Sets Gallery

(KandiceSeeber)
Some of my beads inspired by autumn colors - my favorite time of year! I often use colors that reflect the seasons. I also try to play with light to catch the eye.

Margrave the Ghastly

(MaryCLockwood)
Sculptural hanging bat focal bead. Margrave is rather large in size at 2.25 inches top to bottom. He's hanging from a wine red barrel bead with a 1/8" diameter stringing hole.

Halloween Geisha 2007

(TracyJerrellAkhtar)
I began creating limited edition holiday geisha for Halloween and Christmas last year. The Halloween geisha for 2006 was a candy corn geisha and this year it's a witch. Only 2 were made this year and this specific design will never be recreated.

Santa & Mrs. Claus for my Mom

(Angelinabeadalina)
Winter skating park scenes with a dusting of sparkling fake snow, snow globes toys from Santa's workshop, rows of holiday coffee cups hanging beneath the upper cabinets in the kitchen, and more ornaments scattered here and there. . .my mom has quite a collection of Christmas decorations. She kinda likes my smaller beads better than my larger sculptures, so I decided I needed to make her a simple Santa and Mrs. Claus to add to the tree. Here they are, Santa with his pack on his back, and Mrs. Claus on her way to the kitchen to bake some Christmas treats.

"Here's the Mail, Dear" Santa & Mrs. Claus Scene

(Angelinabeadalina)
Here it is, already the middle of November, and the mail is pouring still pouring in up at the North Pole. Why, Mrs. Claus has to check the box two or three times every afternoon (which, by the way, occasionally jeopardizes the cookies she forgets are in the oven while she's delivering the newest batch of letters to Santa). As you probably know, this toymaking and delivering enterprise is a family business, and everyone is busily multi-tasking this very moment. Santa is in charge of checking the naughty/nice lists and adjusting toy production accordingly, as well as making appearances at holiday parades. Mrs. Claus is a wonderful baker, so of course, she's in charge of sugar cookie production. Her recipe calls for the cookies to bake until lightly golden brown, which as it turns out, is about the same amount of time it takes to walk to the mailbox and back. Mmmmm, with all that daily walking, she can get away with sampling a cookie from almost every batch!
P.S. The letters in her mailbag are paper, not glass, and I'll be happy to pencil the names of your children or grandchildren on some tiny squares to personalize this for you. . .they're on the 'Bay if you're interested (ViewItem&item=13... ending 11/14/07.

O Holy Night Madonna and Newborn Child

(Angelinabeadalina)
"O Holy Night, the stars are brightly shining, It is the night of our dear Savior's birth..." This Madonna and Child makes me think of that night, of a mother who nestled her newborn Child and stood looking to the sky. Or was she looking to the future, trying to fathom the depths of all that would follow that night?

Joy

(Angelinabeadalina)
It's been a long time since I collected angels. The first one was a ninety-nine cent department store special that I told my 6-year-old self was going to be a present for my Granddaddy. I'm almost 42, so you can guess how old that little plastic angel would look if I could find it now! I think I did give it to Granddaddy with lots of hints about how I ought to keep it for him. . .I don't remember, but I am pretty sure I ended up with it and kept it in my nightstand drawer. The last time I remember seeing it was , well, I don't know when. I do remember loving that "angel" is part of my name, and I do remember loving the shape of the robe that particular angel was wearing. My collection was never anything official, and I kind of gave up on it after angels became a popular thing sometime in the eighties. Still, angels occasionally call to my creative self; this time, it was the glass that needed to be made into an angel. Hope you like this one. JOY 2007 is written in stringer of ivory/amber/gray, and the rest of the glass is just plain ivory. Wings and halo are not melded to the glass, just wound on to a loop on the upper back and around a groove at the top of her head. Primitive, ancient, satisfying to make.

Leave Angel Notes Here

(Angelinabeadalina)
Seems like we all have those days when it would be good to know an angel is watching over us. How about leaving your angel a note here with this angel? I can't guarantee angel communication ;), but I bet you'll feel better just knowing someone else read your message and said a little prayer for you!

Mrs. Claus Wants This Sassy Elf Relocated Preferably Somewhere Far from the North Pole

(Angelinabeadalina)
Let's just be candid here for a moment, shall we? Santa is a good man and a good husband. Mrs. Claus knows this, and she proudly tells him these things at least once a day. However, Mrs. Claus has been keeping an eye on the younger generation of elves, and she's not real keen on the idea of having potential temptresses in the house, ya know? No need to be coy, we all know we'd probably feel the same way. Just because trouble speaks softly and respectfully and doesn't intend to cause you problems, that doesn't mean it isn't t-r-o-u-b-l-e. . .so, in the interest of happiness all 'round, Mrs. Claus is helping Sassy the Elf find a new gig. Mrs. Claus reports that Sassy happens to have a wickedly funny sense of humor and would be a great companion to keep by your desk at home or work. She also figures Sassy would make a very eye-catching addition to a gift for someone on your "naughty but in a very nice way" list. C'mon, help a girl out, won't ya? Big bonus, you help prevent trouble at the North Pole, and nobody really wants disruptions in the gift giving operation, do they?
You Are the Biggest Part of My Heart * Featured Page *

You Are the Biggest Part of My Heart

(Angelinabeadalina)
How could I know how my heart would grow throughout the years, and how could I know I would learn to make it stretch to cover so many friends and children and family members? How could I know that any one person would eventually become so much a part of me as to become more than half of my heart? How could I know for sure at the beginning that person would be you? Well, I hoped and I leaped and it happened in slow motion. . .and now I want to thank you for your love. You are the biggest part of my heart!

Flora's Passion for Spring

(Angelinabeadalina)
Can you feel it yet? The pulsing of life as the earth gets ready for spring? Flora is gathering her energy, preparing her kind to burst forth with buds and blooms. This Flora waits to hold your tiny treasures from outdoors, one of the first blooms or a bit of broken branch with buds.

Christmas 2007 Limited Edition Geisha

(TracyJerrellAkhtar)
I began making limited edition Christmas geisha last year. Here is my collection for 2007.
Each one is carrying their special gift and I melted silver foil to create an evening sky full of stars on their kimono. The guiding Star of Bethlehem is represented by a cubic zirconia embedded into the front of each kimono. The brightest star among many.
