Gold Crown (stripeycomb)
(
GearhartGlassArt
)
Here is another stripeycomb bead. This one has ruby red stripes under and around the 24k gold fume honeycomb. I put so much gold on this one it didn't burn off (even when melting in the honeycomb and shaping) leaving the "Gold Crown" on top.
Diamond in the rough
(
GearhartGlassArt
)
Here are the first of a new diamond pattern. A little rough if you ask me. Some of the lines are a little thick and some of the diamonds a bit misshaped. Nothing a little practice won't fix. Thanks for looking.
Turtle Bay February '08
(

It's been awhile since I've played with my beads...just a general malaise and lots of distractions. But I had fun working with these beads and putting together a bracelet with a Biagi bracelet blank I purchased before the holidays. Who knows maybe designing will be fun again!
Layered pendants
(
GearhartGlassArt
)
These pendants were made in two separate layers. The top layer is a silver or gold fume pinwheel and the bottom is a turbo cobalt spiral. I also added a couple of pics of a layered paperweight. Hope you enjoy.

Ocean Inspired beads from Jan. "06"
(
Christina
)
Here are a few more Ocean Inspired beads that I have created recently. I first started making these beads because I moved to Nevada and missed the ocean, now I am hooked. It took a long time for me to figure out how to make these but the outcome is well worth the effort to me. :o)
Maddnes From March 2006

I enjoy the colors and clarity of boro. It is a trade off from the detail and workability of soda glass to get it. I don't want to work just one or the other but to enjoy both. Today we have some boro beads.

It's Not Easy Being Green
(
BentWarpedAndTwisted
)
Okay, so I still have a thing for Kermit the Frog. I got all these awesome green beads from Bits O' Glass in different lots but they just looked SO good together I had to make a set out of them in honor of Kermie, my first froggie love!
The lampwork beads are accented by sterling beads, green aventurine, black onyx, white jade and Amazonite as well as sterling bead caps. the bracelet features a safety closure, the necklace features a hook and eye style clasp and the earrings have French hooks. The metal is all sterling and I almost wish I'd done this piece in gold for myself, but I only have two ears, two wrists and one neck and I've already got three suites waiting in the wings for myself as it is!
I made this suite exclusively for Indigo's in Athens, GA.
