Lampwork

Lampwork "Studio"

(DesignsByStephanie)
Clearly, I use the term "studio" loosely. This is where I create my little glass works of art. Nothing fancy...just my corner of the garage....all mine. :)
Stringer Therapy

Stringer Therapy

(Angelinabeadalina)
Yep, needed another stringer fix, but ya know I can't resist the sculpting. . . so here's what happened when I combined the two to make a scarab. Oh, and Egyptians! Gotta love that theme, too, so this was a triple play day! Let me see if I can remember the details. Hmm, dark brown transparent center encased in clear and then flattened into a thick oval. Dark yellow sun with orange stringer swirl. Raised and sculpted clear scarab body, then lots and lots of dark brown stringer tracing the body and covering the back of the bead. Know what I do remember for certain?? Making this was like meditation for me. Lay down a line. Lay down another line. Feel the heat of the flame (nope, don't even bother to turn down that big flame anymore, just work up close and quickly). Lay down some more lines. Almost get fingers too close to the flame while using the very last of one piece of stringer-- don't let go, or you won't have a continuous line. Ah, I love glass!
Verde Botella

Verde Botella

(Ironmoutain01)
I loved this colour - I loved working with this colour. For some reason it soothed me, and at the time, boy did I need soothing...

This was the first time that I worked with this press shape, and I loved it!!!

Paleta de Limon

Paleta de Limon

(Ironmoutain01)
This is a 51mm x 24mm crunch focal that I was experimenting with using a blended frit instead of a solid colour frit on.... I think it turned out very fiesta!!
Shipwrecked on Treasure Island

Shipwrecked on Treasure Island

(RickieVogesDesign)
The colors in this bracelet are more dark and brooding than most of my ocean themed pieces. I took my inspiration from the beautiful Olympia Rain seashells by Tiffany McCoy. They seemed to be encased in transparent amber browns for a dramatic style that begged for more depth than whimsey. See what you think....

Strange ways.... ;-)

my friends wouldn`t recognize those beads as my work... but between all those triangle beads... i sometimes have to create something different.... to beware myself of going nuts ;-) (sorry again for the grammar... it has nothing to do with that :-)

lots of sunshine

Spring!

Spring!

(ChrisDembinski)
Spring is my favorite season! I’m not even sure what kind of trees they are, but they have gorgeous pink blooms on them. When the blooms are almost spent and the wind blows, it looks like it’s snowing flower petals. Mother Nature really does put on quite a show.
New beads... BORO

New beads... BORO

(Mr.Smiley)
This is a new technique I've been developing. It's nothing I've seen before. In hand, there's an optical quality to them that's just beautiful... they seem to glow.
Fossil

Fossil

(Ironmoutain01)
This is the first time that I've played with Palladium leaf - OMG that stuff clings to EVERYTHING!!!! Not to mention that you just LOOK at it and it blows away.... Maybe Ivory wasn't the colour to use as a first base, but I was having fun anyway (holding my breath, muttering curses, using pins like chopsticks.....)
Fossils

Fossils

(Ironmoutain01)
Again, playing with that freaking palladium leaf. I wanted something to go with the focal that I'd made earlier, and still hadn't learned that Ivory wasn't the best first base glass to play with - but it was awful fun!!!!

Uh... never sneeze when working with the stuff. It's NOT pretty!!!

Mica Shift technique from a French blog

Mica Shift technique from a French blog

(Dystini)
I saw this technique on several French polymer clay blogs and finally found a tutorial for it. And promptly thought "Why didn't I think of that?" upon seeing how it was done. It produces some very interesting cool effects.

Worry Beads

Worry Beads

(Ironmoutain01)
My sister has this thing for worry stones - I thought I'd try to make a few and then pick one for her. They fit comfortably in the hand and the thumb seems to glida across the depression almost of it's own free will. Anything can be a worry stone - a rock, a shell, a nut, a bead...

I have been making Lampwork beads for a few years now. I am self taught but have learned many things from fellow artist. I currently sell on etsy (Ellesson.etsy.com)) and I sell a little bit on ebay (es-webservice) I really enjoy Lampworking, and it thrills me to death to know someone is wearing a bead I made. I update this page every week so check back often! Thanks for looking! I hope you like all my creations! Feel free to send me an email at ellessonbeads(at)...
A Day on the Bosphorus

A Day on the Bosphorus

(RickieVogesDesign)
The city of Istanbul is teaming with color and sights and sounds to please the eye and senses. The exotic Bosphorus divides two continents--these bracelets represent the dawn and twilight of that exotic place.
