Myrddin's Eye

It took me forever to decide what to do with this focal bead by Aimee Milan of Polychrome Beads. I was going to put it in a necklace but I just couldn't quite find the right beads to go with it that wouldn't steal the focus, then I couldn't quite figure out what I wanted to put with it as a pendant. I finally opted for simplicity and used 20K resin-core Afghani textured beads and cultured seed pearls to preserve the continuity of the round lampwork bead and the waffle texture of the gold beads is a nice contrast to the bead itself. This piece is done on 14K yellow gold wire from H. Schmidt & Son as usual :)

A process that I am still working on....sculpting the murrini into a face on a hippie chick. This is try 2. introduced to the flame 3 times. most likley a three hour bead? Enjoy!

Oliver the Dragon

This dragon is made out of ask green glass.. with dark plum silver stripes.. and white for his belly... He has a long dragon tail swirling around to his side..

This pendant was made with purple cim glass,, and dark plum silver glass.. I encased it in clear... and formed the hook for the chain with clear.

Twinkle D. Mented - the ultimate TWISTY BALLOON

This balloon represents my transition in life from my old days as Twinkle D. Clown (yes, really!) to Twinkle D. Mented (crazy is FUN!). From twisty animals to the ultimate twisty balloon, I'll always be a clown, this piece just epitomizes my darker, more bizarre side :D

Fairy Carousel

These gorgeous beads by Lydia Muell, Ashton Jewels, with their delicate aquamarine color and beautiful double-plunged roses, accented by goldstone stringer, brought to mind fairies and fancy and how there is a certain strength even in the tenuous nature of the fantasy realm. The beads are mounted on solid 14K pink gold wire with 14K yellow gold beads and 4mm Swarovski light rose AB bicone beads.

Eureka! 14K Hot Air Balloon Pendant

I love this one! Lydia Muell does it again - this time with a fabulously shaped bead that is perfect for the balloon in this hot air balloon pendant! I've taken a different tack with the gondola bead and gone round, since the bottom of the top bead is flat, so the beautiful turquoise blue reflects down onto the creamy, minty green and gold of the round bead. The goldstone stringer is raised on the balloon bead and is flush on the gondola bead, providing some wonderful contrasts in this pendant. The beads are mounted on solid 14K wire with solid 14K beads.

Zodiac

Sometimes, those end of the day, gotta have something to show while I'm working on a bigger project, what the heck beads turn out pretty cool! I had worked all day yesterday on more of my zodiac wheel beads. Already had the sun/moon and three beads for each of three elements(fire, earth, and air), so I made three water element beads, a Pisces bead, an Aquarius bead, and a Capricorn bead. Then, I still had about an hour and a half until the school bus arrived with the kiddos, so I decided to practice doing the zodiac symbols and planet symbols in stringer. You know what? I am very happy with these!
