Oil Painted and E-Formed Focals

As if oilpainting or eforming wasn't enough, these techniques have been combined on a single bead. I love them!

Japanese New Year

I would like to let you know some of Japanese New Year. Here are my ornamental cabbage beads. We arrange the cabbage and some other New Year items, like plum flowers, pine branch, bamboo leaves or nandina berry, and display in front of house. I arranged pink ornamental cabbage and bamboo leaves and nandina in the beads. Enjoy them!

Lost Civilization Series

I LOVE ANCIENT WORLD HISTORY so much that I used to study it just for fun. The idea of lost civilization intrigued me most. Of course there are no pictures of these presumed lost places, but my mind's eye can see them. This series of beads is based on my idea of what lies undiscovered on the Mediterranean floor. That is why I choose iridescent blue and green glass. It provides an aquatic like backdrop for the motifs that would have likely graced the walls of a lost piece of architecture. I imagine that this series will continue to grow because I truly have a passion for the concept.

Masks Inspired by Disney's Animal Kingdom Safari

Imagine this: Forty year old cynic waiting in line for the safari ride. Instead of complaining about the wait, she's hoping the line slows down. She wants more time to look at all the masks and carvings and extra little embellishments that Walt's folks have "thrown together" in a way that seems completely appropriate, like what you imagine a real safari outpost might look like. The kids, hubby, and friends were anxious to get on the safari jeep and see the animals. . . and I was secretly wishing for a torch and glass so I could make a mask! The Safari was spectacular, though! Here's what I've gotten to do so far.
