I've now moved up to a Lynx torch from my HotHead and still trying to get acclimated to the extra heat. I'm getting the hang of it though and have begun making my geisha again.
Purple flowers and green leaves layered inside transparent glass provide the background for my dancing geisha. Matching purple flowers and goldstone hairsticks decorate her hair as purple striped kimono sleeves flow from her arms.

Matching pink flowers decorate her hair as her arms extend outward, her pink striped kimono sleeves flowing from her arms. I've created this one with a larger hole for those of you who may want to use with kumihimo, dog leads or other beadable objects.

I began Lampwork late May of 2005. Something sparked inside of me when I began melting glass and I just took off from there. My mother showed me how to light the torch, melt the glass and wrap it on the mandrel. Other than that I'm self-taught from books and lots of PPP. Up until June 2008 all my work was created on a HotHead torch. Now I'm using a GTT Lynx and LOVE IT! My work is available on my website, Tracybeads.com and also on Ebay under the id azcowboygirl.
