Art of the Firebird's Gallery

As a self-representing glass artist. I incorporate a little piece of my spirit into each bead as it is made. For me, lampworking is a creative outlet, a meditation, a way of touching the Universe as I work.

My beads are all handmade from "soft" glass, usually Effetre/Vetrofond/Lauscha from Italy and Germany, but occasionally Bullseye from the USA. I use a Bethlehem Piranha torch, individually shaping and decorating each bead. All my beads are kiln-annealed for strength and safety and carefully cleaned afterwards.
