I wanted to see if I could reduce the size of my Bear Totem focals. They're usually 30mm. I managed to get these little guys down to 19mm and below. :D

But we must weather the storms and if we're lucky, we can ride on top of them, surfing over the turbulence to find the rays of sunshine on the other side.
Now on Etsy!! This piece is a collaborative effort between myself and my dear friend, Jessy Wahl. Jessy made the Dream Catcher by hand, soldering the ring, twisting the 30G wire for the web, and adding heishi and a silver feather. I created the Bear Totem focal and wired the piece together. The ribbon was made by Kathleen of KAS Lampwork.

Fantastic Boro artist, Pipyr, was the one that suggested I create a series based off my Tree beads. I took her advice and it's been wildly successful, so I thought she deserved a Tree Totem of her own. :)

The Bodhi Tree is an old, gnarly, knobby fig tree under which Buddha sat and contemplated his existence. After some time, Buddha gained enlightenment and the Bodhi tree became a symbol of knowledge and wisdom. Trees have often symbolized wisdom through the ages - because of their longevity and contributions to all life.

I had a request to make some beads based on a Lady Death comic book cover. I went abstract and used the texture of Lady Death's hair and the color scheme, minus gold and blue, to come up with this set.

My name is Amber Van Meter. I have created high-quality artisan (lampwork) beads for over nine (9) years now. I specialize in the use of powdered enamels and silver with glass. I also have over sixteen (16) years of experience in jewelry design and silver work. You may have seen my artisan beads on eBay, WetCanvas, BeadArtists.org, Torch Bugs or Lampwork Etc. My beads are handmade by me. They are thoroughly inspected for flaws or defects. I properly kiln-anneal them to reduce the possibility of breakage due to internal stress. The beads are clean and ready for your use as soon as you receive them. Most importantly, all of this means my beads are not mass-produced and are of the highest quality I can achieve.
