I've been working with seed beads since around 2001. I do mostly tubular peyote. Despite it being a very time consuming process, I've made a countless number of necklaces over these years...giving a lot away as gifts to family and friends. It is what I do in my leasure while watching/ listening to TV/ movies with my family. I experiment with a lot of different size beads. For awhile I did a lot of tubular with an emphasis on spiral form, sometimes using small Swarovski crystals. For a period I was trying a lot with the Americana theme which I may revisit soon. Lately I've been creating necklaces that have taken on a beaded bead form as is evidenced in the silver and turquoise Carribean necklace. Almost all of my work contains the smallest seed beads, size 15 Rocailles or size 13 Charlottes(which I discovered only recently). I like colors, but also enjoy experimenting with black and white. With the exception of four bridesmaids' necklaces, all my necklaces are unique. I like adding names and dates to customize each one further. There is still so much to try!! I remain passionate about beadworking.
