This is another commissioned piece done for Theresa Bishop of Lawson's Fork
glass beads using a set of her amazing stained
glass beads. The heart has been encased in clear, the periwinkle blue of these beads is just astounding, they really seem to glow from the inside out.
The periwinkle reminds me of a winter sky at twilight, the white howlite beads dance around them like snowballs, the garnets bring to mind the blood red of holly berries, the sodalite (both traditional blue and white and the more intense deep blue) evoke thoughts of a winter night and the rosy pink of the rhodonite remind me of the variegated pink poinsettias that my Grandma used to have every Christmas. I used diamond cut sterling beads because they reminded me of the sparkly, metallic Christmas tree ornaments!
