Thank you so much for stopping by to visit my gallery! I lit my first torch nearly 12 years ago and have been addicted to melting glass ever since! Glass has been an amazing journey for me from learning how to tame the moltem material (as best as I can) to meeting many new and wonderful friends as a result of the glass community! I feel incredibly lucky to have found my passion, my calling, and truly hope someday to study under some extremely talented flameworkers and create larger, more complex works of art and expand my horizons in this medium.

Lady in Orange Gown & a few other busts

Lady in Orange Gown & a few other busts

I have been creating these rather large busts of women since the middle of winter. I haven't shown any yet (don't know why), but I've deciced to share this one with you all. A gorgeous blonde ready to step out for the evening in her orange gown that will make her stand out brightly in the crowd and call attention to her wonderful sense of fashion!
I create about one of these per session and I'll promise to show more. I've been lazy about pictures lately.
Thanks for stopping by!

Zen Garden Water Feature Beads Pt. 1

Zen Garden Water Feature Beads Pt. 1

I have been making these fun beads since I recieved a Zen Garden for Christmas. I thought I needed a water feature, but couldn't have acutal water - I figured that glass was the next best thing!! The water bubbles over the top of these vessels and cascades down the sides. I also make a small flat glass disc for these so it looks as if water is pooling underneath them. I'm having SO much fun making these!!! Thanks for checking them out!

Bicones and Tubes

Bicones and Tubes

Some fun things I've made while playing with the water features. They were originally supposed to end up as water features, but screamed at me to stop and add ends and make them focals!

Fun with Dots

Fun with Dots

I had a blast making this honker. I sketched the design while watching TV the night before. Still needs some tweaking, but the design was fun and I plan more of these in the future.

Chinese Letter Beads pt.1

Chinese Letter Beads pt.1

These are a fun style that I've made before, but have returned to with avengence. I've been studying Zen and have begun an introspective journey through meditation, Zen, and yoga. These are only a few - with more on the way. I'm having so much fun trying to master the stringer work that is required to create these without having the characters bleed together.
The dream beads - I have seen many characters for dream, but this one was so visually beautiful, that it's the one I chose. Other than that, I really hope the characters are accurate!! Found them on the net, so you never know!
Thanks for looking!

Reichenbach Arrowhead

Reichenbach Arrowhead

My newest favorite! I got to play with some Reichenbach glass rods while torching with a friend recently. The shape was a complete stroke of luck and I don't know if I can make it exactly the same way again. It was a blast to play with and now I think ordering some is most likely in my future! Thanks for looking!

Supernova Galaxy

Supernova Galaxy

My first experimentation with Supernova glass. I incorporated silver, clear stringer and my own star murrine into the bead. I really like the way the purple came out as the base with the blue "galaxy" around the center. It reminds me of looking up into a clear, dark night sky when you can see the milky way.

Ocean Blue Athena

Ocean Blue Athena

I really liked the color that came out on her. She's the new Lauscha color and I LOVE it for sculpting as it is the perfect consistency for it.

Prarie Sunset Organics

Prarie Sunset Organics

I have been playing with this color combination for a little while and I really love it. The colors remind me of sunsets over the wheat fields out west in the prarie states.

Prairie Sunset Organics - a color study

Prairie Sunset Organics - a color study

This was the perfect study to let the glass be what it is.
Every single bead was made the exact same way and using extreme heat, each one evolved into its own unique creation.
I really loved how these colors work together and I'm not sure I'm done with messing around with the combo just yet!

Full Moon Fever

Full Moon Fever

This is one in a series of beads that I have been entranced with lately. I made the star murrini (my first!) and am pretty proud of it. Pictures show the rotation of the bead. The bead is 1 & 1/2" tall and 1" in diameter. Many layers of glass and lots of clear!

Thank you so much for visiting my gallery!
I lit my first torch 12 years ago and was hooked instantly. Melting glass is my passion and my love for this medium grows with each new technique I play with. I learn more and more with every new glass artist I meet. This constantly challenging medium of glass has captured my imagination and I am truly lucky to have found a voice through which to express myself.
