My jewelry suites are ever-evolving. The only thing that doesn't change is the fact that they include a necklace, bracelet and earrings. Some include a pendant as well, for an alternate look, there's always a theme behind them, even if it's only in my own mind!
As always, props to H. Schmidt & Son for the precious metal wire - love y'all a Schwegman's bag full! Props also to all the incredibly talented glass artists whose beads are in my designs - I could NOT have done it without you! You ARE properly credited on each individual page :D
I just turn the beads into what they tell me they want to be, as someone once said, it's 99% inspiration, 1% perspiration. (Clearly this was before the invention of BAND-AIDS, however!)

These are my absolute favorite lampwork beads EVER. They were beautifully crafted by Alexandra Spinglaschell of By The Sea Glass Art and I fell in love with them on sight because they instantly took me back to the autumn when I was five years old in Fayetteville Arkansas, the year my Daddy took me trick or treating at our ONLY neighbor's house, the Hollands, who gave me plums, pears, cherries and apples instead of candy (and when we later moved to an urban area I was totally confused when I got CANDY!), the Halloween Daddy put the Jack O'Lantern on his head in the days when things like that were funny and not scary, the year we went to the fair and I had my first candy apple. I remember every glint of the pyrite in the quartz gravel in our driveway, the sandy colored bricks of the house, the redwood deck on the back. This bead set wrapped it all up and gave me back some of the happiest memories of my life in a form that I can see and touch and show to the world. I can't begin to thank

This suite was commissioned by Theresa Bishop of Lawson's Fork Glass Beads using her own beads, I had a fabulous time taking her beads, making them into something for her and having her be really excited about my incorporation of her beads into one of my designs!

This is another set commissioned by Theresa Bishop using her own beads, a combination of her variegated green stained glass beads and her crimson red lampwork beads. The beads are actually from two different sets but when we discussed using them together to make a set that would have a holiday-ish theme but not TOO holiday-ish this was the end result. This is one of my all-time favorite pieces, I love working with Theresa's beads! I may have to work out a deal with her for this set - I've become awfully attached to it!

Okay, so I still have a thing for Kermit the Frog. I got all these awesome green beads from Bits O' Glass in different lots but they just looked SO good together I had to make a set out of them in honor of Kermie, my first froggie love!
The lampwork beads are accented by sterling beads, green aventurine, black onyx, white jade and Amazonite as well as sterling bead caps. the bracelet features a safety closure, the necklace features a hook and eye style clasp and the earrings have French hooks. The metal is all sterling and I almost wish I'd done this piece in gold for myself, but I only have two ears, two wrists and one neck and I've already got three suites waiting in the wings for myself as it is!
I made this suite exclusively for Indigo's in Athens, GA.

The lampwork beads in this set are by Bits O' Glass and were just REALLY fun to incorporate into a suite - they're so bubbly and bright and bouncy! The links are handcrafted of sterling wire, the accent beads are sterling silver, white jade, carnelian, red agate, a few Miracle Beads and some sterling bead caps purely for ornamentation. The bracelet is a one piece bangle with hook and eye safety closure and the earrings are drops with French hooks.

This is another jewelry suite with beads by Bits O' Glass, again with the bubbly, cheery dots and spots all over them. I just LOVE working with these patterned beads, they make me really think about how I'm going to put them together!
This suite features red jasper, red agate, white jade and sterling silver accent beads and a few Miracle Beads just for kicks and a little eye-catching reflectivity.

Yet another piece made with cheery, dotty beads by Bits O' Glass, this time in more of a choker style and with a bit of a Southwestern groove with its turquoise/yellow/dusty purple combination of colors. The accent beads are sterling silver, yellow jade, fluorite, stabilized turquoise (NOT reconstituted!) and some clear quartz crystal beads on the bracelet. The bracelet is crafted of square wire, bangle-style, with a built-in safety clasp.

I just love the color combination of these beads by Bits O' Glass - the black on grey on pink with the porcupine texture makes for a real visual impact! This is one of my favorite suites so far, I may have to keep this one for myself!
It's done in sterling with sterling accent beads as well as hematite, rose quartz, black onyx and matching spacer beads This piece is part of my "*batteries not included" series - you have to be a fan of the movie to understand that.

This one of a kind sterling silver jewelry suite has been handcrafted using sterling silver wire, sterling silver beads, natural rose quartz, white agate and hematite beads with lampwork beads created by Bits O' Glass. The soft pink and white contrast sharply with the glossy black for a striking retro look that never goes out of style. The flexible bangle-style bracelet features a built-in hook and eye safety clasp, the necklace features a heavy hook and eye clasp and the earrings are suspended from French hooks with beaded fronts for a finished, elegant look.

I'm BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!
My jewelry is Bent, Warped & Twisted - just like me ;) My website and forum and online gallery are still sort of under construction but the chat room's open for business, feel free to drop by!
Many of the pieces you see here are available in my Etsy store, if there's a piece you're interested in that isn't in my Etsy store drop me a line and ask about it, I may just not have gotten around to listing it yet! I do try to put "sold" signs on the pieces that are no longer available :)
I LOVE WORKING WITH LAMPWORK BEADS. It's not just a love, it's therapy. Marrying my love of jewelry with the art of lampwork glass and wire work is cathartic, relaxing and compared to a shrink, it's CHEAP! It's also something I can do with ALL of my kids that really makes our family time especially fun, and it fosters the importance of crafting and artistic expression in them in a time when an appreciation for true quality work and attention to details seems to be falling by the wayside. When they see the work that goes into it they have a much deeper appreciation for it!
I wish I could take up the torch myself but I have fibromyalgia and the meds I take for it would make playing with fire not only dangerous but kind of stupidly irresponsible. Besides, someone has to BUY the pretty beads that all you wonderfully talented torchers make!
I try REALLY hard to give props to the glass artists who make the beads that I use in the pieces I make and put in my gallery but if you recognize your beads in my work and for some reason I had oatmeal for brains when I did the writeup and didn't acknowledge you PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I believe in giving credit where it's due and I couldn't make a bead out of Play-Doh and I'm not going to let anyone think I made these beautiful glass jewels that permit ME to put them in pieces of jewelry. I'm very fortunate to have had just the right beads tell me to come and get them, it's a moral imperative that I give their creators the proper respect!
