I finally decided to get a little more elaborate in my compositions; in this piece, except for the square beads and printed Thai Karen Hill Tribe beads, everything is handcrafted by me. I made the clasp, the swirly links, the little dangles on the side...
This piece is constructed entirely of solid .999 fine silver, natural jasper beads and most importantly, lampwork beads by Alexandra Spinglaschell of By The Sea Glass Art!

I couldn't resist using these beads to make some bracelets and other pieces to rep my local football team GO DAWGS! SIC 'EM! WOOF WOOF WOOF! Sorry, that just slipped out :D
I AM EMBARRASSED TO SAY THAT THE TAG WITH THE BEAD ARTIST'S NAME WAS SEPARATED FROM THE BEADS DURING A MOVE OF MY OFFICE AND BEADING EQUIPMENT. IF YOU MADE THESE BEADS PLEASE PLEASE LET ME KNOW SO I CAN GIVE YOU PROPER CREDIT (AND SO I CAN ASK IF YOU'D BE WILLING TO MAKE MORE, LOL!)

This is a piece from my own collection, the focal bead is by Susan H. Farley and the spacer beads are by Bits O' Glass. This piece is part of a suite I'm making for myself with a cherry blossom theme that started with the Sakura No Ki geisha bead purchased from Tracy Jarrell Akhtar (reworked on 18K yellow gold wire).
This bracelet is on 18K yellow gold wire and is one of my favorite pieces both personally and professionally - the spacer beads were part of a lot of 500 purchased from Bits O' Glass and just happened to have the perfect colors and blends to go with the focal bead, I couldn't have hunted them down if I'd tried! My work has as much to do with serendipity as anything and the beads have to tell me their stories while I'm using them to tell mine. This piece definitely speaks volumes!

This bangle is made with 14 gauge sterling wire from H. Schmidt & Son, a stunning Sakura focal bead by Susan H. Farley and swirl beads by 3 Muses Glass, which have been accented with sterling Bali beads, diamond cut sandblasted sterling beads and complementary colored Miracle Beads from Side Street Beads in Watkinsville, GA (thanks Susan & Co.!). I made this piece to go with a suite I am making for myself.

This focal bead from 3 Muses Glass really brought back memories of a trip to Destin, FL once upon a time, having dinner at the Sunset Bay Cafe at the Sandestin resort, watching the sun set, just kickin' it and feeling more relaxed and pampered than I've ever felt in my life. Call this one a mental vacation!

The focal bead is by Elly Peters (Ellyloo) and is called "Happy" - and the name fits it PERFECTLY! It's bright and bubbly and the dots on the surface are like droplets of rain on flowers after an Indian Summer shower. The ladybug bead is actually a little jingle bell, all the silver (including the vermeil) is Thai Karen Hill Tribe silver. The gemstone beads are a little bit of everything, I was more concerned with matching the colors in the focal bead than with what variety of stone I was using. I used garnet, rhodonite, red (orange) agate, dark blue sodalite (gem quality) and fancy jasper.

It's green, it's funky and the focal looks like a spaceship - it even has huge azurite and Amazonite beads big enough to be its own moons! Sorry, no green cheese, no little green men, just a fun and funky sterling bracelet with lampwork beads by Bits Of Glass!
In case anyone is wondering why this piece is on the marketplace here and didn't go to the Band Boosters Fundraiser the coordinator didn't pick up the items I was donating *sigh*

This piece features beads by Bits O' Glass with Miracle Beads and sterling silver accent beads on sterling silver wire. The center of the focal bead has a zig-zag sort of trippy pattern to it that you just have to see in person, it's really stunning!

As I was looking at some of Bec McGlynn's fabulous boro beads I had one of my silver bead boxes out, which had my HUGE, GINORMOUS Bali barrel beads in it... decided to play :)

I am absolutely in love with Mardi Brown's (Bastet's Beads) tube beads - so much so that I use them almost exclusively in my bracelets these days! The color blends are spectacular, the shape is perfect for bracelets because it helps them stay right-side up and there's a simple elegance about them that is inescapable! But don't take my word for it, see for yourself :D

This bracelet is crafted of sterling silver wire by H. Schmidt & Son, sterling silver beads, glass seed beads, green and green speckled glass beads, clear quartz crystal beads, spacer beads by Bits O' Glass and three wonderful, snakey swirly beads by By The Sea Glass Art (the notorious one-armed torcher! And no, I'm not making fun, that's what she calls herself.).
I LOVE working with this bead pattern - it's all slithery and smooth, just like snakes. Yep, I'm one of those oddballs who likes snakes and other scaly things. I love the colors on these beads, I imagine if a garden snake and an indigo snake got together these are the colors their children would be :D

I'm BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!
My jewelry is Bent, Warped & Twisted - just like me ;) My website and forum and online gallery are still sort of under construction but the chat room's open for business, feel free to drop by!
Many of the pieces you see here are available in my Etsy store, if there's a piece you're interested in that isn't in my Etsy store drop me a line and ask about it, I may just not have gotten around to listing it yet! I do try to put "sold" signs on the pieces that are no longer available :)
I LOVE WORKING WITH LAMPWORK BEADS. It's not just a love, it's therapy. Marrying my love of jewelry with the art of lampwork glass and wire work is cathartic, relaxing and compared to a shrink, it's CHEAP! It's also something I can do with ALL of my kids that really makes our family time especially fun, and it fosters the importance of crafting and artistic expression in them in a time when an appreciation for true quality work and attention to details seems to be falling by the wayside. When they see the work that goes into it they have a much deeper appreciation for it!
I wish I could take up the torch myself but I have fibromyalgia and the meds I take for it would make playing with fire not only dangerous but kind of stupidly irresponsible. Besides, someone has to BUY the pretty beads that all you wonderfully talented torchers make!
I try REALLY hard to give props to the glass artists who make the beads that I use in the pieces I make and put in my gallery but if you recognize your beads in my work and for some reason I had oatmeal for brains when I did the writeup and didn't acknowledge you PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I believe in giving credit where it's due and I couldn't make a bead out of Play-Doh and I'm not going to let anyone think I made these beautiful glass jewels that permit ME to put them in pieces of jewelry. I'm very fortunate to have had just the right beads tell me to come and get them, it's a moral imperative that I give their creators the proper respect!
