*Mermaid`s Pillows* are 9 pillow beads and 11 rounds. The pillow beads were wound from transparent teal glass. Each bead was wrapped in lots of fine silver leaf. I used more than 60 silver leafs in this set!
On top of the silver there are stripes of Kronos 2 (DH) and K-102 (DH), the stripes were swirled with blue aventurine/clear stringer, topped with small dots and then reduced to a metallic shine.
11 rounds were made of K-108 (DH) and fine silver leaf.

I must admit that I didn`t manage to capture the beauty of these beads in the photos. A transparent color was totally encased in Miro (R4 glass), then swirled around. That`s why I called them *Miro Mirrors*.

Here I came up with a new idea for stringing the spiral beads and spacers, I combined them with donut beads. I hope you like it.
8 spirals with white bases were decorated with colorful frit blend (handmade by me) and black and white twisties and 22 spacers in black and white are included. They were temporarely strung on wire, complemented by black donut beads, Mother of Pearl donut beads, seed beads and a small heart.

One half was made of ivory with silver leaf and transparent turquoise, the other half was made on a base of cobaltblue decorated with Picasso from R4. Then the whole bead was encased in clear and pressed with a spiral press. Oh, it is so much fun to make focal beads...

My name is Christiane Selimovic. I am a glass addict, I have been a glass addict since spring 2003, when I took a beginners lampwork class. I love the colors and I love the material I work with. Discovering a new type of glass to me is a temptation I can't resist.
I live in a charming old town in Northern Germany close to the North Sea, together with my husband, our 11 year old son and our little dog.
