Delightfully Ganesh

Delightfully Ganesh

Posted by Angelinabeadalina on 4/10/2007
Delightful in his way, always sending out good vibes. . . Ganesh is the Hindu god who is the remover of obstacles. He brings success, peace, and wisdom. It seems that every picture I've seen of him has a festive air to it, a sense of delight in all that life offers. I wanted to convey that same feeling with this three bead sculpture. I hope it brings you a smile and that you can feel those good vibes travelling outward to you!

Delightfully Ganesh
He's sitting amongst a waving field of yellow and pink flowers. The main color of all of the three Ganesh beads is Moretti coral, with lots of streaks and smokes and etching to give it a timeworn look.

Delightfully Ganesh-- the head
As with many of the 3-bead sculptures I've done so far, the head is done on the mandrel but the top extends over and encloses the mandrel. Large ears remind us to listen more. . . and all the other characteristics hold reminders, too.

Success. Peace. Wisdom. Seems like a good way to remove obstacles, doesn't it?

Thanks for stopping by to visit with AngelinaBeadalina! I'm really just plain ol' Angie or Ang, but the catchy name does suit me in the sense that I'm a motormouth who loves to play with words almost as much as I love to play with glass! You can find me here at BeadArtists.org, in my Etsy shop, or in my daily blog. You can get links to those places at www.angelinabeadalina.com (click on it above). Please pardon the use of my "official" website as a traffic control signal at the moment-- at least, that's what it makes me think of when I look at it. . . lots of directions to other places where there are updates on a daily basis. Tech-stuff would not be one of those things that I love or that comes naturally to me ;) Well, enough rambling for now, come on in, look around. . . have fun exploring my glass experiments and ideas. Peace, Ang
