I've been plying with Effetre drk. silver plum. It has a very metallic appearance and in this bead, reminds me of a black iridescent iron.

This focal set reminds me of the dark and turbulent skies just before a storm hits. The silver wire in the focal looks like a lightening flash crashing down through the clouds. The focal is 28mmx25mm.

Still playing with copper leaf. These remind me strongly of moss agate, one of my favorite stones.

I was using these colours in a set I was making and next thing I knew, I was making this focal. That happens to me alot :) This is a long one, at least for me. 2 1/4 " flattened bead. I am not sure what to call it, the shape reminds me of a spear head.

Based on the Japanese Ojime beads. I need some more practice with these, I think they look more like eels!

I am really enjoying these focals, it's a nice break from sets on occasion. These are made with copper leaf which brings out all the beautiful blues and greens.

Terra Mater, the Earth Mother. This is a huge bead, 2 1/4" long, 1 1/4" across hips, and 1" thick. She reminds me of an ancient clay sculture.

All of my goddess wear necklaces, mostly in amber glass. A necklace which is an uninterrupted strand of beads symbolizes the cycle of life, death and rebirth.

I had another go with the copper leaf and I am pretty happy with the results and the shaping. This bead is as large as the others.

This is Genesis, made on a turquoise base, decorated with nice springy colours. A cubic zarconia glows within her necklace, symbolizing the spark of new life that is stirring just beneath our feet and will burst into glorious spring in just a few weeks

This is a new series I've just begun. More a celebration of the female form in all its varied sizes, colours and shapes. This is a relief applied to a large flattened tab, 3" long

This bead turned out really well I thought. Full of colour and sparkley metallic veins of silver and gold. This bead is just shy of 2" long.

This is the focal to a set I did recently. The beads were heavily enameled and then etched for a really neat texture. This is a 38mm flat-backed lentil.

I at least managed to get the "big" part down :)) This bead measures 32mm x 30mm. It is hard to tell in the picture but this bead has a black core which has been encased in a thick layer of clear.

I made this bead for the Frantz Dot contest. It needed to be large and have lots of dots, similar in style to Larry Brickman's work. So here is what I came up with. I sure gained a good appreciation for the skill level needed to make beads in this style.
