This is what happens when you're too impatient to wait for the paint to dry and use your heat gun. Fortunately they still looked good.

Lightly textured. First I tried oil paints but that didn't give me vivid color so then I tried alcohol inks and that did it.

Pinata inks mixed into translucent clay, swirled, baked, sanded, buffed, glazed.

Faux Marble using black paint, white and translucent clay and a whole lot of sanding

These beads were a surprise. All through sanding, buffing and glazing I didn't like them. After the final bake their true beauty shone through. Metallic clays mixed with trranslucent.
