Lots of work and some techniques I'm not accustomed to using but they turned out very well. As usual, tho, they don't compare to the inspiration.

View one - Hollow. A base of scrap clay, sanded smooth. Base color clay applied to that, smoothed, cured, cut off, glued together and sanded.

View Two - The colored layer was applied, cured, sanded, polished and then the holes were carved individually with an exacto knife.

View One - It's actually hollow. A cardboard and scrap clay form was made (and sanded into shape til I had no fingerprints left)

View Two - The black base clay wad placed on the form, cured, cut off, glued together, then sanded like the base was. Then I added the color sections and then sanded again.

Some of the purple/gold blend (near the middle of the blend) and some green and gold blend. Pure gold on the bottom.

The colored parts are silver leaf painted with Pinata inks. Once dry they're covered with a thin layer of translucent so they can be sanded. Then cut and applied to the base.
