One of my all time favorites. My inspiration for Australia is a painting, 'Women's Ceremony' by aboriginal artist, Naata Nunigurrayi. She paints traditional designs depicting sacred women's sites and women performing sacred women's ceremonies.

I chose Brazil for South America. Rainforests cover 2% of the Earth's surface, or 6% of its land mass, yet they house over half the plant and animal species on Earth. They orizinally covered at least twice that area.

Inspired by actual African tribal masks. From left to right: smaller version of Swaazi mask, African Zulu mask, and African Swaazi mask.

I chose Thailand for Asia. The making of umbrellas in Bo Sang (Bor Sarng) village is a handicraft occupation of the villagers which has made its name known throughout the country and abroad until the parasol has become one of the symbols of Chiang Mai.
|
My inspiration for Greece comes from the movie, "The Bourne Identity". In the final scene, the fugitive spy escapes to the breezy island of Mykonos. The white buildings set against the breathtaking colors of sky and sea.
|
My inspiration for Spain comes from the colorful flamenco dancers. Flamenco is a genuine Spanish art, and to be more exact an genuine Southern Spanish art. It exists in three forms: Cante, the song, Baile, the dance, and Guitarra, guitar playing.
