The gray may be creeping into her hair, but she feels forever youthful as she meditates each morning.

She soaks in the quiet, the peacefulness of a house that has not fully awakened yet. You can ask her, but she won't tell you her mantra. . .she is simply a mother appreciating the goodness of having everyone safe and well as the day begins.

So, I seem to know alot about her--is she me? Nope, I still can't get back into exercising, and my peaceful time lately has been at the torch at 1 a.m. She makes me want to start trying some yoga , though :)

He's so happy, you just know enlightenment must bring so much more than just wisdom. It must bring an acceptance and appreciation of who you are right this minute.

Of course, this Buddha just taught me acceptance and that could be why he's so happy. Yep, this little bead was cracked when I took him out of the kiln, so I put him back in, heated him up, stuck him in the flame again, and fixed him...or so I thought.

Know his secret? He cracked again, and it was an intentional crack in his bottom, either! That's okay, I made him into a necklace (that I'm wearing right now) because his happiness just makes me smile anyway!

I learned alot from these three figures, so they deserve a little time in the limelight, too. I call them Practice, Practice, and Practice!

Practice #1 taught me you have to melt appendages in a little more smoothly than hers. Practice #2 taught me that the Dali Lama's robes are a little more complicated than just copying their color. Practice #3 taught me it's never done until it's done!

How does he do that? Are those his hands tucked under his criss-crossed legs? He's "standing" on his hands?

Look at those arms and pecs! I still can't believe yoga can make you look like this, but I do believe it takes muscles like this to hold these poses!

And what a back it is--look at that tapered V shape! The tattoo is the symbol for "Om". Don't know what his mantra is, but I'm guessing he won't admit what he's really thinking: "Now, how do I get out of this without pulling a muscle???

She's tranquil, she's peaceful. She meditates early in the morning, just to get her day started with positive energy.

Ah, yoga looks so deceptively simple. When I was planning this yoga figure, I kept sketching an abstract outline of her shape. That always helps me decide how to work the glass.

Sooo, after I sketched the abstract lines of this pose, I still needed to etch it in my mind before I went downstairs to the torch. That's when I started trying to hold this pose and think about the body shape.

Hmmm, I wonder if I should try to do a figure of what happens when someone like me tries to hold a yoga pose? Yep, then I could call it the Landed Flat on My Rear pose:)

This guy is seriously buffed, but he needs to stretch more often! He can't get his other foot up on the opposite thigh. Guess that makes this an "almost" lotus pose.

He's thinking about --well, nothing actually. Isn't that the whole point of yoga? Letting yourself just be.

Of course, those are the reasons I can only attempt yoga in glass! I don't stretch. I'm not in shape. I can't just "be" when I sit. Hmm, maybe, those are all reasons why I should try yoga?
