Cupcakes are a very popular thing these days. There are books and even entire stores dedicated to these little sweet treats. Some very colorful fabric was my inspiration for these two sets. The little cupcake beads have already been hand wire wrapped with sterling wire so all you have to do is add the findings. The seed and bugle beads make the cupcakes look as though they have a cherry and a birthday candle in each. I made some for myself and made earrings out of them. Created September 2008.

A brand new bead design for me. Little pinafore dresses. Just the right size for a pendant. I've been working on them for about a week. I spent over an hour on each one but I love the way they turned out. Cute! Created August 2008

This set of floral button beads will eventually be a bracelet but I was short a couple. I had forgotten how time consuming this style of bead can be. Every color has to be handmixed and handpulled. The floral design is applied over melted-in fine silver leaf. This is what gives the petals that shaded, painterly effect. I think this floral style of bead looks great with the rustic qualities of Hill Tribe silver beads and components. Created Aug.2008

The first time I tried to make this bead a big chunk broke off end after I had been working on it for over 30 minutes. I tried again, determined to make it work. The challenge is keeping the long tube that is under the encased floral bead hot enough that the skinny ends don't crack. I find that I hold my breath for much of the time. Created August 2008.

Great colors and lots of interesting shapes! Lavender, violet, sky blue, aqua, teal, key lime, and black. The heart has a floral design on one side and the word "Art" is written on the other side in hand pulled vine cane. The other focal bead in this set is a sort of bicone. Very intricate bead on a bead sort of. A clear encased floral bead is made on top of the long cylinder. A hand pulled twisted cane is used to outline each side of the floral center. Created July 2008.

I'm exhausting my latest color cravings with this large designer set that I've created for auction. I've made several pieces of jewelry including necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and even a ring in the colors you see here. Carrot red/orange, key lime green, ruby pink, deep purple violet, and a smidge of white and black. I've included some interesting shapes for this set including a couple large focals, one of my little flip flops, cubes, cones, and lots of round beads. So much to play with. Created June 2008.

This set seemed to draw alot of attention. I really like to make sets of beads in vibrant colors that go together but don't really match. I think this set and others like it are very popular because there is so much design potential. Created Aug. 2006

A unique and eclectic set of handmade glass beads with lots of different shapes and sizes in a classic color combination of black, and ruby pink on antique ivory. A reaction caused by the ruby colored glass on the antique ivory base has created a deliniating black line around the shapes in this floral design. A thick encasement of crystal clear magnifys this sweet floral design. Created May 2007.

I'm starting a new series of watercolor floral focal beads for neclaces. I've used a tiny bit of furnace glass frit and fine silver foil that has been applied in layers along with clear glass. The flowers were added to the last layer and the silver gives these flowers their amazing color and shaded effect. Created July 2007
