A Little History; How 'Within'began...when I was Sheila Farnell. First created in clay in 1996, a latex mold was completed with a plaster mother mold. (The photo below shows the form during the mold making stages)One plaster cast was produced covered in red paint and Copper foil. (picture not available YET; Chack back!). The form was then cast in Bronze (shown below) in 1997. This work was given a Patina with East Lansing, Michigan water and manganese dioxide (1997). (This piece is much larger than the glass {the origional was 30“ tall15“w}) {FYI- the mold for this piece was stolen from Michigan State University during the last week of school. If you are aware of where it ended up...please let me know; Thank you!} First one for sale SOLD on Ebay (thank you!) in 2006.

Figurative, sculptural, reactive glass (those words trigger the thought of Julz), luminosity...the things running through my mind as I create these beads. These figures just want to come off the beads...

Thank you for Visiting my gallery!
I am very excited to show my work here. If not for websites, I would have been a closet Artist forever.
Art is a passion to many people, and I am one of them. I am so flattered to be at a site with so many talented people.
Thank you for the moment.
