Process pictures Enamel decalsPosted by Sheila Morley on 7/28/2009New to Lampworking.
The Scientist/Artist has developped a way to print these raw materials to produce photographic imagery and fuse it to glass or ceramic. I dabbled with it, and realized I could use it in the flame on my glass. The result to my discoveries is going to have a huge impact on my Art. And, I can imagine it having a huge impact on many Artist;s muse. Being able to capture detail like never before, this gives glass a whole new vocabulary to speak with. I am excited to see what we do. This medium ROCKS! It has a built in binding agent that acts like a glue before it is fired. Applying to curved surfaces is not a problem. The mixture is perfected to have a beautiful gloss, and very little color distortion. The images can be left on the surface, or they can be encased in glass. After firing-This material is binded to the surface of the glass like a glove. No frit, or enamel is required to encourage fusion. The sky=Limit. 7-2009 Images
