Experimental Focals

Posted by Paradise Glass on 7/5/2009
This gallery consists of a selection of focals to give you a very small peek at what I do. As a first time contributor I'm a bit nervous but I love what I do and I feel the need to share.

Oysters on my Tongue
Kronos over white has produced the lovely soft yellowing on this bead. I love the textural quality and odd shape.

Kia Ora, I'm Karen and I live, love, laugh, learn and make my beads from my studio at Ruakaka Beach on the East Coast of Northland in New Zealand. I make big focals, no sometimes they are huge really they are. My hands find it difficult to keep up with my head and so I find making focals much easier than making sets and I doubt whether I could ever make the same thing twice.... I'm not big on planning. I have loved looking at all the glorious glass at beadartists.org and have finally taken the plunge to show you some of mine. I hope you like them as much as I do.
