This is called using what I got! All of the people images were derived from my "boogie down bead" series from '06. These are made from real enamel; digitally rendered imagery. A new process.

Photographic images melded to glass; high tech. Some of them are photographs of specific pieces; the people are taken off past beads in a photo editing program... 6,7-2009

New to Lampworking. The Scientist/Artist has developped a way to print these raw materials to produce photographic imagery and fuse it to glass or ceramic. I dabbled with it, and realized I could use it in the flame on my glass. The result to my discoveries is going to have a huge impact on my Art. And, I can imagine it having a huge impact on many Artist;s muse. Being able to capture detail like never before, this gives glass a whole new vocabulary to speak with. I am excited to see what we do.
This medium ROCKS! It has a built in binding agent that acts like a glue before it is fired. Applying to curved surfaces is not a problem. The mixture is perfected to have a beautiful gloss, and very little color distortion. The images can be left on the surface, or they can be encased in glass. After firing-This material is binded to the surface of the glass like a glove. No frit, or enamel is required to encourage fusion. The sky=Limit. 7-2009

For several years I have been designing and testing decals on Lampwork glass beads, and small lampwork sculptural pieces. It has come to my attention that I am not as interested in it now, as I was, and I am wondering who is going to take this to the next level? Maybe you have a suggestion, or a desire? I think there is a production bead maker out there that could really do something with decals and lampwork glass beads. I'll still use decals, and make art, I just think I am neglecting the possibilities with this fantastic medium. Most of these beads were made in Spring 2010 -enjoy!

Thank you for Visiting my gallery!
I am very excited to show my work here. If not for websites, I would have been a closet Artist forever.
Art is a passion to many people, and I am one of them. I am so flattered to be at a site with so many talented people.
Thank you for the moment.
