Just a little of my jewelry philosophy. My current love is working with artisan designed lampwork beads, because they are individual, intricate and ever evolving. When you design a piece of jewelry with lampwork it is an original, one of a kind labor of love. Working in this media is a wonderful outlet for my creativity and there is so much to learn that I will be busy for a good while! Thank you for visiting my gallery--I hope you will enjoy what you see here and return often to see what new and wonderful things have evolved from my collaboration with the wonderful lampwork artists who send my imagination soaring.

So it's time to start a new gallery for April's designs. I started out with just a couple of new pieces this week. Since I'm getting ready for summer, I'll continue with my sea themed work for now...but who knows what's next.

Well, finally I'm on a designing frenzy, after a long hiatus from the workbench. I'm trying to get my groove back, after a long winter's nap! So now that I've made a start, I just need to keep going! I'm looking around for inspiration all around and hoping I'll make something that will make your heart skip a beat. So here goes start--it's March Madness time! Any beginning, from me, wouldn't be complete without some odes to the seashore, as you will see!

Have you ever strolled through a field of sunflowers in the summertime? It's a beautiful sight and these lampwork beads by Kerry Caron capture the essence of just such a stroll. She surely was inspired by the art of Van Gogh--she captured the colors and style beautifully in this trio of lampwork. Think Garden with Flowers meets Vase With Sunflowers and you'll get the idea. These have been lovingly wirewrapped with sterling silver and Bali beads, carnelian and turquoise charms and finished off with a beautiful abstract sculptured flower by Manuela Wutschke. A miniature gallery for the wrist--three paintings and a sculpture.

It's been awhile since I've played with my beads...just a general malaise and lots of distractions. But I had fun working with these beads and putting together a bracelet with a Biagi bracelet blank I purchased before the holidays. Who knows maybe designing will be fun again!

Here's a variation on an earlier design with just a little twist. This is a very comfortable bangle to wear and makes a dramatic statement.

Especially with the addition of the new silver reactive glasses, I find myself more and more attracted to lampwork beads with various hues of blue. So this gallery will be my homage to be glorious blue beads I love to work with and will be added to from time to time as I continue my love affair with lampwork in blue.

This gallery will house the designs from May '07 that are no longer available. I will pull them from the current gallery to keep them here and my cureent gallery will be just that --everything currently available from me. This will include items that have been sold, custom orders and gifted to friends and loved ones. I love the idea of galleries that house a record of my history, and hopefully an evolution of my work!

Necklaces are such a rare treat for me I guess they deserve their own page. I love long dramatic sophisticated necklaces and I think this one fits the bill. I was fortunate to procure one of Trey Cornettes stunning focals which I've paired with a ndebele rope woven to my specifications by Carol Dean Sharpe (31 inches long). Together the focal, turned pendant with some sterling beadcaps, chain and lovely Swarovski crystals came together just as I'd hoped.

Okay, I'm a California girl, so you'll have to forgive me for my second wave of Beachy bracelets...and there's more to come guaranteed! I just got a bucket full of lampwork seahells in all the colors of the rainbow and I'm going crazy playing with them...So please indulge my craving for a stroll on the beach...again!

More Ocean ideas just keep swirling around in my head...The latest features lampwork beads by Maureen Kelly of Pumpkin Hill--her beautiful starfish and sand dollars, combined with a Carl Clasmeyer clasp--a delightful sea turtle. Thai clam shells and Bali sterling complete the design...along with a sterling palm tree charm for a touch of whimsey!

This pair of bracelets came from a wonderful set of lampwork by Robyn Knapp. It was a large set of singles with a common thread of color and design--but very eclectic and totally capturing my fancy. I can see these pieces worn seperately ,but together they are stunning and make a dramatic statement--your own little traveling art gallery!

The variety of colors using Double Helix Kronos glass continue to mesmerize me when choosing lampwork to design with. One of my favorite artists working with Kronos is Tiffany McCoy. For this bracelet, I've used some of her perfectly round kronos beads--each with a different design and color intensity and variety. Truly a wearable work of art!

I don't often make pendants, but with a stash of leftover beads in oneseys and twosies from sets I've used for necklaces and bracelets, it seemed likt time to put them to good use, instead of hiding away in the bottom of my bead box. What alot of fun I've had playing with my beautiful left-overs!

Three more dangly charms to add to the batch. I've had lots of fun using my extras and a few focals that I've held onto for awhile!

Take a minute to smell the salt air and think about a lovely stroll along the seashore...or as they say here in Southern California, let's head for the beach and hang ten! I'll share in this gallery some of my favorite designs with seaahells and other assorted sealife. Some dip your toes in the ocean with me!

Here's a sampling of my version of bangle bracelets using both Viking Knit and a sterling wire frame. Boro just seems to fit the bill more often for this style bracelet to me..but there's a little exotic soft glass that works here too!

Here's a couple of necklaces I've kept for myself and wear all the time. Interestingly enough both feature the same lampwork artists beads, although they are very different in style and color. You'll immediately know you when you see me, because I'll surely be wearing one or the other necklace around my neck! :-)

Although I primarily specialize in bracelets, every now and then I venture forward with a necklace or two. My newest necklace features a stunning lampwork focal from Margaret Zinger, combined with a seedbead rope and dazzling dangles of rich carnelian.

It's no secret that I love floral beads in all their variety. Encased florals, figural florals, applied florals, in all their variety they are a delight to design with...so here is a sampling of my favorites--old and new! Come on in and smell the roses!!!

Here are a few of my current designs featuring a Valentine's theme. A little more cutesy and girly than my typical designs--they have a dash of feminine sweetness, just like the holiday itself.
